Rajaji National Park

The Rajaji National Park was established in 1966 and has on area of 820 sq kms. Nestling in a wide and thickly wooded valley of Shivalik Rages, The Park offers exciting opportunities of viewing the wild in the natural habitat. The 23 species of mammals and 315 flora & fauna species with scenic beauty and rich biodiversity of this park has been attracting Wild life lovers world-wide. The wildlife includes herd of elephants, leopard etc. The wild life at Rajaji National Park offers great variety of species among the herbivorous Chital or Spotted. Deer is the most Common and can be seen in groups.

The Rajaji National Park, one of the most spectacular getaways in Rishikesh, inhabits flora and fauna that will leave you charmed. The park is home to the tiger, leopard, Himalayan Bear, cheetah, hog deer, barking deer, Sambhar deer, wild boar, antelopes such as the Nilgai, goral, jackal, hyena, jungle cat, leopard cat, civets, Himalayan yellow-throated marten, sloth bears, pythons, king cobra, common krait, Indian cobra and the monitor lizard, and the Asian elephant. The park has the largest ecological footprint in the entire Shivalik region. Visitors can enjoy the majestic views and make full use of their cameras to capture some of the most unique moments of their lifetime.
